"To improve the financial lives of those who put their trust in me and to earn the trust of those who want to improve their financial lives."
Kyle Cain is the President of Foresight Financial Advisory, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Investment Management Analyst® advisor, published author, as well as adjunct professor teaching financial planning courses.
After graduating from the University of Florida, Kyle began his financial career as a trader for Fidelity Investments in 2007, right before the beginning of the Global Financial Crisis. This forced Kyle to quickly learn the importance of having a prudent investment strategy that is deeply aligned with a sound personalized financial plan. This lesson has always stuck with Kyle as worked with hundreds of clients over the years as a Financial Advisor, managing as much as $500M. To further hone his skills as a money manager, Kyle earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification, administered by Investments & Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with from the Yale School of Management. Most recently prior to starting Foresight, Kyle spent several years for J.P. Morgan working with ultra high net worth clientele in Palm Beach, FL. His experiences working for these larger institutions allowed him to realize that there is a better way to provide his clients superior financial support. So, he created Foresight Financial Advisory to be able to provide the best the industry has to offer. Such as, obtaining for his clients the best research, financial planning, and investment technology available. All without the usual conflicts of interest presented within the larger firms.
When Kyle’s not working he enjoys spending all the time he can with his two young children. He is also a fitness enthusiast and avid reader. These activities consume most of his time except when the Florida Gators football team is playing. Then you can find him at the stadium or in front of a tv somewhere.
Q&A with Kyle
Why are you a financial advisor?
I believe that the key to happiness lies in helping others. However, it often take resources to make a significant impact. So, I've dedicated my life to helping others gain financial prosperity. Not only do I find great fulfillment in knowing that I helped just one individual, but hope that in turn those extra resources will be used to create a rippling effect throughout society.
What makes you a good financial advisor?
I always try to put myself in others shoes and care deeply about all the people that I serve. I try to not only understand their financial goals but to thoroughly understand their reason "why". What's really important to them; their hopes, dreams and their fears.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Usually wake up early to read any premarket news that may have occurred overnight and if that new information will require any changes in my client's portfolios or financial plans. Next, I pull up my calendar to review my day that I planned the day before. After a cup of coffee, I'm off to work. Once the markets close, I try to fit in a little gym time before dinner and family time. Then prepare to do it all again.
How do you want people to remember you?
I hope to be remembered as a great father, friend, man and advisor, in that order. I hope to lead a life of kindness, generosity, patience and with a care towards others that my children will be proud of.
When you're not working, what else do you like to do?
The greatest joy in my life hands down is spending time with my two boys, Ashton and Aidan. Our days are always filled with tons of fun activities. I also enjoy a good work out, a day on the boat or the beach, and little getaways whenever I can.
What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?
First and foremost is to be kind. There are enough hardships in life that we all owe it ourselves to be kind to one another. Also, to be humble and never let your ego dictate your behaviors. Lastly, that the best way to find happiness is by helping others.
